Encouragement Speaker Derrick Hayes gives a DERRICK Interview by asking 7 questions through each letter of his first name to give you an insightful perspective from other experts, entrepreneurs, celebrities and up and coming super stars.
Today’s DERRICK Interview is with Teen Motivational Speaker Alyssa Sullivan who was born on April 14, 1999 in Bloomington, IL and since then has not stopped talking. When she was little she would always put plays on for her parents that would keep them interested as long as her heart desired. All in all Alyssa is just a teenage girl that’s trying to figure out life, by pursuing her dreams, and believing in happy endings.
D is for Dream.
My dream is to become a writer, Motivational speaker/preacher and builder of a foundation that is a world changer. I’ve started writing stories, motivating people, preaching to my family, trying to help people, and changing the world by simply being me. I’ve achieve by starting.
E is for Encouragement.
I get encouraged when I see people that need help. It encourages me because when I see people out there with no hope it makes me realize how much words can help. How much I can empower people with just a slip of the tongue.
R is for Resource.
A resource that I have that makes me stand out from the rest is my passion. I have this passion that I cannot put into words to help others. It’s something that’s deep inside of me that can’t wait to come out. It’s this indescribable desire to change the world. To make a difference.
R is for Ready.
I realized I was ready when I watched this guy on YouTube talk about how to become a motivational speaker. And I thought to myself ” that will be me!” I still believe it will! I have this confidence when I speak. The confidence that I can change all these problems in the world. And I believe confidence is half the battle. Cause when you have confidence in yourself no one can tear you down.
I is for Individual.
I feel everyone should know about the individual Martin Luther King Jr. because he changed the world so drastically and for that I am forever grateful. However there is this other man named Nick Vujici. He is a motivational speaker born with no legs and arms and he is the most influential person out there. He talks about how he’s still happy, how he’s still living his life with no regrets. Which makes me feel so grateful for what I have and what I don’t have. Because what I don’t have is more important than what I do.
C is for Continue.
When I fail I pray because I know God will be with me through all my sin. I pray to him because I know he will give me the strength to continue. And he will never give up on me. He will support me in whatever I do. He will be there through the thick and thin. God is my savior, my healer, my protector, and my reason to CONTINUE!
K is for Keys.
The keys to success that I leave for upcoming entrepreneurs and leaders are: 1.) Stay positive: Life isn’t easy but it’s worth it! 2.) Stay strong: Don’t let people discourage you from your dreams!! 3.) Stay young: Never grow up, stay a kid, life is easier that way 4.) Stay yourself: No one can be as unique as you because no one will ever be you!!!!!!!
