They Still Call Me Daddy

March 24, 2012

I was there at the start

Never thinking that we would part

I lost the words to the song

Where marriages can go wrong

One thing that sings so clear

Children have never asked to be here

Through life pleasures and pains

Our love for each other still remains

We don’t get to see each other as much

Weekends, special trips and calls keep us in touch

Real love will make you smile

Nothing like when a father loves his child

When I look back on the past

Certain people didn’t want us to last

There’s nothing they can do

When you love me and I love you.

Through it all “They Still Call Me Daddy”

Beautiful Spirit

You helped me to better my whole

Thoughts you gave deepened my soul

It is a privilege to have you edit

Words that later would give me credit

Feelings we need to set us free

Differences we have create Diversity

All my life I wanted to be

The one that lights wanted to see

Outside is where I looked

Years from me that journey took

One day I heard a knock at the door

Arrived an answer I’ve waited for

You can run but you can’t hide

Close out fear and go inside

Don’t stop going until you hear it

The sound of love…Beautiful Spirit

Passover

November 11, 2011

Copyright 2011 ©

I saw a man with no home

No gate or fence where he could roam

Look in eyes was sick and tired

Sleep overdue kept red like fire

No consistency there’s no stay ground

Life don’t laugh like the playground

Family with nothing to eat

Children bare without shoes on feet

How can I relate?

I’m fully clothed with food on my plate

People on outside call me a Jerk

Sometimes I complain at my place of work

They’re not slobs, they don’t rob

The feel bad can’t find a job

Forever I’m humbled to what you’re facing

Please accept my plea for mankind’s situation

Let’s make EASTER everyday so all our problems will just Passover

Don’t Complain Pray For Wayne

September 8, 2011

Inspired by the life of Rev. Wayne Williams. Rev. Wayne passed away before I could get this poem to him. Pray for his family in their time of need.  I wrote this to encourage him when he first was diagnosed with Cancer.

My brother is laying down looking up.

Now is the time for us to show love.

Pray, Pray, Pray for better days.

Praying for change to come his way.

Don’t worry about what you’re going through.

Even if you’re overdue for a breakthrough.

Take your mind offf what you facing.

Place some emphasis on what Wayne is facing.

You can sit there stunned and say why him?

Or you can get on your knees and pray, pray, pray again.

ask for what he wants and needs.

Pray that one more day he gets to breathe.

Little by Little victories are won.

We know to move and let your will be done.

Praying nation to nation praying sea to sea.

This is Wayne’s World so please let it be worry free.

Don’t Complain Pray For Wayne
