Lindsay Lohan Meet Lindsey LOWHAND

I have never met Lindsay Lohan but I know a lady named Lindsey LOWHAND that always reaches down to pick others up. Her name is LOWHAND because she helps run a counseling shelter to help the Lost, Obese, Widowed, Homeless, Addicted, ones with Nightmares, and the Desperate. These are all issues that are close to home with Lindsey.

The Lost. In life you can have it all together so it seems. One day you’re on top and the next the bottom drops from underneath. A great thing about being lost is that you can be found. Lindsey was lost but found her purpose through programs like the shelter she helps run.

The Obese. Before Lindsey found her calling she was overweight. With low self esteem she never gave herself a chance. Lindsey kept saying she was going to change by eating right and exercising. Lindsey had thoughts of working out but first she had to learn to work in.

The Widowed. Matters became worse for Lindsey when she lost the love of her life for over 20 years. They met in High School and never missed a day apart. Lindsey became lonely holding on to her thoughts of never loving anyone else.

The Homeless. After paying for everything for a year without her husband’s help Lindsey started falling behind on the bills. Their house went into foreclosure and Lindsey had nowhere to go.

The Addicts. When Lindsey realized she had no door to turn a key into the street life swarmed her up. Lindsey experimented with every drug that could get her through the day. The alcohol and drugs that Lindsey consumed held her captive in her own life.

The Nightmares. The wear and tear of being homeless and addicted weighed heavy on Lindsey’s mind. Lindsey would be in and out of shelters and it started to lose her mind. Lindsey would wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweats. Lindsey started to think she was someone else.

The Desperate. When Lindsey started to lose her mind life was not something she appreciated. Lindsey hit rock bottom. Lindsey was desperate and willing to do whatever it took to survive. If it meant going through you that is what Lindsay was willing to do.

Lindsey woke up one morning and realized she was on the streets, on drugs, and onto nothing but trouble. She looked up at a building and it read OFF for Only For the Faithful with the scripture Mark 9:23 “All things are possible for the one that believes”

Lindsey was down near an underpass and tried to get to her feet but fell down. The next thing she knew someone walked and reached down with a LOWHAND and helped her to her feet.

After entering the OFF Program Lindsey was able to get OFF drugs and OFF the streets. Lindsey kept her vow to help those that were just like her.

Remember this. The one you give a high five to today maybe the one you have to give a LOWHAND to tomorrow.

I love you. Because of you, what you do, and what you have been through people around the world will look at their lives differently and make changes. Thank you for inspiring me.

Soak up your problems and tribulations. Don’t let them drip your life away. Dry yourself off and move to higher ground.

From Hell To HellO

Do you believe that how you start your day can determine how you finish? There are people around you who won’t speak yet wonder why nothing is going right in their life? There is power in the letter O as it can take you from hell to hellO.

O as in Optimism. Every day is not perfect but if you are positive you will more great days than good days and more good days than bad days.

O as in Opportunities. If you fail, so what. Find out what you did wrong and make it work right for you.

O as in Overdue. Do you keep getting passed over for opportunities? Do you let up because you feel let down? Keep doing right and you’ll rise from overdue to breakthrough.

O as in Outstanding. If you stay optimistic you will find opportunities that have been long overdue. The new adjustments will give you an Outstanding life.  I pray that you never go to hell and that you always say hellO.
